The main objective of this study is to obtain a flood control model that meets the inundation criteria in the smart city policy and is able to provide an overview of the flood control of Tangerang City. This research consists of; 1) Analyze the design flood discharge. 2) 1-dimensional and 2-dimensional hydrodynamic modeling with Mike 2017 software. 3) Analysis of flood occurrence in Tangerang City against 16 scenarios including a combination of variations in planned flood discharge from upstream and influences of 5, 10, 25, 50 years of return period local rain. 4) Analysis of increase in river section capacity and optimization of capacity and operating pattern of flood pumps.

The results of the 1-dimensional simulation show that the inundation occurs due to the existing capacity of the river crossing in the Cirarab, Cisadane and Angke watersheds unable to accommodate flood discharge from the upstream of the river, as well as the optimal capacity & pattern of operation of the flood pump and detention pond in overcoming runoff due to local rainfall in the City area Tangerang. From the results of the 2-dimensional simulation simulation with mike flood, flood areas inundated the settlement area with an area reaching 46.68% of the total inundation area and the rest were industrial areas, grasslands, plantations, shrubs and fields. inundation mitigation is overcome by raising embankment to overcome runoff from upstream, increasing the capacity of flood pumps and creating detention pools for inundation due to local rainfall in the Tangerang City area.

text |
