stage of forming, digital startup companies in creative industry are almost certainly is not bankable. They have not had a complete set of financial statements yet. They only have a simple transaction report. <br />
However, the business performance of a digital startup companies cannot be seen only from the report of <br />
transaction, because the transaction report cannot completely reflect the performance of the business. <br />
There are several other factors that also influence the business performance startup companies in digital creative industry. In accordance with Arief Yahya (2014) business performance of startup company is influenced by uniqueness of resource, innovation management, and business partnership, either directly or through the competitive strategy. This study aims to determine whether the factors of uniqueness of resource, innovation management, and business partnership, either directly or through a competitive strategy, influence the business performance of startup companies in digital creative industry in Indonesia. Also, it is to find out the level of influence of the factors of uniqueness of resource, innovation management, and business partnership, either directly or through a competitive strategy, towards the business performance of startup companies in digital creative industry in Indonesia. The data for this study is collected by distributing questionnaires to 100 managements of startup digital companies in Indonesia that listed in Indonesia Digital Creative Industry Community that included <br />
in small to medium-sized businesses and has been operating for 5 years. Then, in order to make a quantitative result it is used path analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. <br />
The result shows that the factors of uniqueness of resource, innovation management, and business partnership, either directly or through a competitive strategy, actually influence the business performance of startup companies in digital creative industry in Indonesia. The factor of innovation management of digital startup companies has the dominant effect towards their competitive strategy. Then, it followed by the ability of the startup companies to manage their business partnership and uniqueness of resource. For the digital startup companies’ business performance, the most influencing factor is the competitive <br />
strategy. The variable of innovation management gets a second place, then followed by uniqueness of resource and business partnership.<p align="justify"> |
