Description
Summary:Abstract: The planning of solid waste processing installations would be built on Nangkaleah Disposal Site, Tasikmalaya, West Java as an effort to reduce the waste that dumped in disposal site. Currently, about 101.3 m3 of waste from 14 subdistricts goes to disposal site without sorting. Around other 14 subdistrics in Tasikmalaya have not received waste management services due to lack of land for accommodating all wastes and lack of transportation for collecting it. The increasing of waste generation should be balanced with the sanitary landfill and also have a long life. One of the efforts in reducing the waste that should be disposed to the landfill is recycling. It effectively in waste management in Indonesia and directing on the circular economy. The planning of solid waste processing installations would reduce the waste that disposed to landfill as much as 20% per day by the evaluation of increasing capacity building every five years. This installation planning begins with collecting primary data to determine the composition and amount of waste generation that dumped to Nangkaleah Disposal Site based on SNI 19-2964-1995 also for collecting secondary data. In other hand, the selection of selected alternatives based on the assessment of the five selection criteria and completed with the calculation and installation design steps. The activities on the installation of waste treatment including sorting in semi-automatic, processing organic waste as much as 54.11% would be processed in a typical analysis for Digester Anaerobic, and inorganic waste will be processed as a recycling potential. Inorganic waste treated includes: plastic waste into plastic trash, seed paper to recycled paper, waste cloth and rubber would be a powder as raw material, as well as the processing of waste metal and glass would be destroyed to be fine grain as a raw material. The total area of land required for the installation of the processing of waste in landfill Nangkaleah is about 0.7 Ha
