Description
Summary:It is common for a girl in the process of maturing to be introduced to a maternal persona. It can not be separated from the view that being a mother is the highest hierarchy point of a woman, because being a mother can be seen as the fulfillment of fate which is in harmony with the glorifying beauty of women given directly by God.

The author recognize and interpret the persona of a mother not merely as an experience ofobserving the mother figure in reality, but also interpreting values that can be personally identified beyond the concept of sexual reproduction and gender roles. Although the issues that coincide with the maternal persona can be explored empirically, the author continued to further define the persona in a more abstract form within an emotional sphere. So that the expression to be expressed is depicted in forms that are no longer representative while eliciting the best potential of a natural reaction between water, pigment and paper that presents visual elements that are not fully controlled.

Through feminine approach, the writer positions the maternal persona as a subtext while the issues that emerge alongside the persona is positioned as a trigger for an emotional response. Then through painting, the emotional response is expressed unto a new reality that no longer hold the presence of the mother nor the emotions that have ever been felt into a visual form, but entirely manifested is an artistic expression without the intention to describe or represent the identified maternal persona.
