In response to this vision, involvement from each stakeholder is needed to develop a digital creative ecosystem. Role of each stakeholder in developing the ecosystem then become a crucial issue since the ecosystem is such a complex system. By considering to this issue, this research was conducted to: (1) explore the current condition of the digital creative ecosystem, (2) develop digital creative stakeholders’ map, (3) identify the roles of stakeholders in the digital creative ecosystem, (4) analyze the roles of stakeholders in the digital creative ecosystem by relating to service science perspective, and (5) analyze the collaboration among stakeholders in the ecosystem. <br /> <br /> Exploratory research was conducted to get deeper information related the current issues faced by each stakeholder. The researcher selects five key stakeholders as informants so they can share their opinions and perspectives related to their role in the ecosystem. Strategic Options Development and Analysis then be used to analyze the transcribed interview. The result shows three major issues appeared in the digital creative ecosystem, which are collaboration, business involvement, and business ecosystem issues. The researcher found four major roles in the digital creative industry: keystone, dominator, hub landlords, and niche player role. Association is expected to become the keystone to develop the ecosystem by sharing values with other stakeholders. Real platform then is needed as media to enhance the collaboration and co-opetition in the ecosystem so healthy ecosystem can be created. text
