Description
Summary:Hybrid is a combination of perovskite-like polimeric inorganic layers, which formed from divalent transition metal ion bonded with 6 corner sharing ligand and organic cations, a protonated diamine intercalated on each inorganic layers forming a pillar. Previously H3N-(CH2)n-NH3 copper (II) and manganese (II) hybrid with n=2-4 have been prepared, however, the pillar position of formed hybrid has not explained with detail yet. In this research, 3 models of pillar position were proposed based on the theoritical bond length and applied at hybrid with n=3-4. The first model was both amine groups intercalated with equatorial-equatorial chloride ions on inorganic layers. The second one was both amine groups on axial-axial chloride ion, and the third was intercalated on equatorial-axial.

The 1,3-diaminopropana.CuCl4 hybrid is the yellowish crystal, magnetic moment 2,0 BM, and decomposed at 199,6°C. Based on elemental analysis, carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen content were 12,76%, 4,26% and 10,14% respectively, fit for (C3H12N2).CuCl4. The average interlayer distance (d-spacing) is 9,1 Å, larger than EDA.CuCl4. The 1,4-diaminobutana.CuCl4 hybrid is green crystal with magnetic moment 1,9 BM and decomposed at 203,3°C. The carbon, hidrogen and nitrogen 16,57%, 4,6%, and 9,49%, fit for (C4H14N2).CuCl4. Average d-spacing 9,0 Å, which almost the same with 1,3-diaminopropana.CuCl4. The diaminobutane copper (II) hybrid has the same average interlayer distance with diaminopropane copper (II) hybrid because of the C2 and C3 coiling in the configuration of organic chains cations. Both protonated amine groups on organic cations predicted to be bonded on equatorial chloride ion of inorganic layers (equatorial-equatorial)

The 1,3-diaminopropana.MnCl4 hybrid is a pink-orange aggregate and single crystal, with molecular formula (C3H12N2).MnCl4.2H2O, magnetic moment 5,7 BM and decomposed at 279,5°C. Average interlayer distance is 9,45 Å, larger than EDA.MnCl4 hybrid. The 1,4-diaminobutana.MnCl4 hybrid is pink-orange aggregate, with molecular formula (C4H14N2).MnCl4, magnetic moment 5,4 BM, with interlayer d-spacing 10,82 Å, which much larger than 1,3-diaminopropana.MnCl4 and decomposed at 279,8°C. Both amine groups on those hybrid predicted to be bonded on equatorial chloride ion of inorganic layers (equatorial-equatorial).
