Poncokusumo WTP is located at Jl. Raya Poncokusumo Jl. Dr.Sutomo 240, Poncokusumo, Sub-district Poncokusumo, East Java. Poncokusumo WTP service area are Poncokusumo District and Wajak District. The source of raw water used by Poncokusumo WTP is Lesti River. Population growth of Poncokusumo District occurs every year, cause Poncokusumo WTP must increase its production capacity. IPA Poncokusumo uses a steel package system with a capacity of 40 L / s. Based on the study of water needs, Poncokusumo WTP planned to meet service target in service area until 2028 with total requirement of clean water is 90 L/s. To meet the target, the processing capacity at IPA will be increased to 45 L / s and the making of an IPA with identical system and it’s capacity is 50 L/s.. The combination of WTP I and WTP II water production can meet service targets until 2028. In existingt condition, the WTP uses a complete water treatment system that is pre-sedimentation, coagulation unit, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection. The coagulation unit uses a static mixer stirring system and a hydraulic reactor. The flocculation unit consists of 4 compartments using an upflow downflow system and a sedimentation unit comprising 2 compartments using a tube settler. By evaluating the current condition of existing IPA, it turns out that the coagulation unit need to be uprating and modification on the diameter of static mixer. The WTP’flocculation unit also does not meet the design criteria so it is necessary to add the compartment. Meanwhile, the sedimentation unit of IPA has met the design criteria of both the existing condition and after the addition of discharge.The total initial investment required for this project is Rp 3.794.905.327 text
