Description
Summary:PT. X is one of the largest cement industry in Indonesia which is located in West Sumatera. Cements is one of the basic material of infrastructure. As the demand of number infrastructure increases it will increase the need of cement too. The process of making cement will produce dust emissions from grinding and heating process of rawmill. In Factory V at PT.X air pollution control device for rawmill is electrostatic precipitator (ESP). When burning rawmix in kiln with incomplete process, it will form CO gas and when the concentration of gas higher than 0,5%, ESP will be shutdown automatically due to the risk of explosion. This makes Factory V plan to replace ESP into a dust removal tool that does not produce sparks like a bag house filter. Baghouse filter which is planned in this design is jet pulse filter type with the specification, filtering velocity 2,371 m / min, with filter bag is woven glass PTFE membrane which amounted 5292 and has filtration area 12758,54748 m2. This baghouse filter is designed with pressure drop 8,66 in H2O.
