One of the problems that farmers often face in Indonesia are pests. To overcome pests, one of the ways used by farmers is to use pesticides.Pesticides are all chemicals used to eradicate or control pests that damage plants, plant parts or agricultural products. Based on the type of pest that is eradicated, pesticides are divided into insecticides, nematicides, rodentisisda, herbicides, and fungicides. <br /> <br /> Pesticides have a negative impact on human health, especially on the nervous system and reproductive system. Pesticides are found in foods such as vegetables and fruits. Currently, the maximum limit of pesticide residues has been set by several organizations such as SNI (Indonesian National Standard). But vegetables and fruits on the commercial market are not tested. This is due to a testing process that takes a long time and can destruct the object being tested. Currently, existing methods for measuring pesticide levels require expertise in the chemical field, take a long time and damage the vegetables tested. So we need a method of measuring pesticide residues without damaging vegetables and easy to do by anyone. <br /> <br /> In this final project will be explained about pesticide detection devices that can show the difference between vegetables without pesticides and vegetables with pesticides using spectroscopy method. Pesticides to be tested on this project are carbaryl pesticides, while the vegetables to be tested are pakcoy vegetables. <p align="justify"> text
