Description
Summary:In the process of growing up it is very common for one individual to feel their fear or

lack of perception to face the norms and values that already embedded in society’s view.

The feeling arises because there are too many choices exposed for individual choosing,

but besides that, there is pressure from the standard rules embedded in the masses about

the values burdened for an ideal adult figure. In popular psychology it is known as Peter

Pan Syndrome. The emergence of these feelings then triggers the writer to do some

reflections in preparing herself to face these feelings through her process of work by

making the compilation of words that are important to summarize the experience of

becoming an adult individual with the approach of narrative art. Art book is then selected

as a medium that can convey anxiety as well as the idea of the author in passing the

process toward maturity. "Alphabet Soup for The Soul" is a summary of the author's

experience through some technical mixed media explorations.
