The CPO usage in Indonesia mostly based on crude palm oil export, so the product will gain the low economic value. In this research, oleic acid that contained second mostly in CPO is reacted with olefin metathesis method to get a higher economic value product. Esterification between technical oleic acid and allyl alcohol (a) is conducted and product is being investigated as a mixture of allyl oleic and allyl linoleic 1:1. This is confirmed by 1H NMR (500 MHz, CDCl3) and FTIR. Chemical shift on 4,56 ppm (d, J= 5,5 Hz, 2H) and hydroxyl signal disappeared on 3700 cm-1 indicated the esterification is successfully conducted with % conversion is 82,98%. Integration ratio of chemical shift at 4,56 ppm (d, J= 5,5 Hz, 2H) and 2,75 ppm (t, J= 6,5 Hz, 2H) showed 2 : 1 that proved the product as a mixture of allyl oleic (1) and allyl linoleic 1 : 1. In this research, low pressure is used instead for ethenolysis reaction. NMR spectroscopy analysis showed if allyl 9-decenoic (3) and allyl 11-(dec-9-enoyloxy)undec-9-enoic (4) are formed (b).
