<p align="justify">This final project is the design of a Museum of The Earth which is an educational and recreational facility with aim to provide knowledge about Earth and all aspects related to it. One of the reason of choosing this project is to increase people awareness about the importance to protect and care for the Earth because the surviving chance of human <br /> <br /> depend on it as they are an integral part of the Earth. This project is a fictive project located at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah in. Jakarta; with some of the reasons of choosing it are because the land use is suitable for museum's activities, easy access, nearby facilities, and adequate ground area. Museum of The Earth can be classified into nature history museum. Main facilities in Museum of The Earth are the indoor and outdoor <br /> <br /> exhibition areas. Other facilities such as supporting facilities include library and theaterplanetarium. <br /> <br /> The design of this museum emphasizes on how to exhibit museum's collection so that the information given is educative yet fun to the visitors. It also connects the outdoor and indoor facilities and make visitors can well enjoy them both. <br /> <br /> Problems that occurred are how to decide what kind of exhibitions will be held in the museum, to design interesting . exhibition areas, to design the building mass, to use the wide outdoor space actively, to apply the tight museum design criteria, to consider the <br /> <br /> tropical climate of Indonesia with high humidity in the design, and to design space with safety and security for the visitors and exhibitions. <br /> <br /> The concepts are to design the Museum of The Earth as educative and recreational facilities. The zoning is influenced by nearby facilities. The building mass and outdoor space are designed according to the Earth's layers concept. The facade and materials are suitable for tropical climate. The buildings are using matrix circulation system. Utility, safety and security systems are considered for the efficiency of indoor and outdoor <br /> <br /> circulation system.<p align="justify">
