Summary:<p align="justify"> <br /> <br /> In Indonesia, the need for Human Resources whom competent in industrial technology innovation and utilization increase because of demand to fulfill National Industry Policy 2015-2019. Bandung Institute of Technology's Industrial Technology Faculty would be the source for Human Resource that can fulfill that demand one of them is Engineering Physics Graduates. But in contrary, there's only little education method for Engineering Physics students to learn about plant's automation process directly industrial automation technology or modern control. Because of that, learning method is made that is Operator Training Simulator (OTS) Training. Plant that chosen to be model for OTS is Mini Plant Flow in Instrumentation System Management and Control Laboratorium. Because that plant use DCS, that many used in industries right now as industry automation technology. <br /> <br /> Training has purpose to deliver lessons about plant start up and shut down, controlling, and PID controller tuning as a plant operational standard lesson. The Lessons are formulated using deduct method while usability tes tis a method to evaluate if training can increase training participant's knowlegde about the lessons that have been formulated. Beside usability test is used to evaluated training, it also used to evaluate training's supporting component that is OTS and training module then it's result is used for OTS and training quality improvement recommendation. <br /> <br /> From usability test result, we can conclude that OTS training can increase training participant’s knowledge about plant start up and shut down, controlling, and PID controller tuning based on usablity test. The results from the test are the number of training participant who experienced increased understanding of knowledge about plant start up and shut down increases about 95%, for knowledge of controlling increases about 73%, and for knowlegde of PID controller tuning is 60%. <p align="justify"> <br />
