Description
Summary:Waste management in the city of Bandung is the main problems that must be addressed. One of the methods to overcome the waste problem is the use of the Waste Transfer Station-3R based (TPS 3R) that is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, as a place to accommodate waste with minimization process before the waste transferred to Landfill (TPA). Guntur-Dago TPS is one of the TPS in Bandung. Facilities and Infrastructure in TPS evaluated based on technical requirements of TPS according Regulation of the Minister of Public Works Number 3 Year of 2013. This evaluation is supported by data on source of waste from service area, the width and dimensions of buildings, functions and facilities, waste composition, load collecting and waste generation. In 2018, the total population served is 8,509 with an average monthly domestic waste is 2.89 l/person/day, equivalent to 0.37 kg/person/day. Meanwhile the non-domestic area served by 28 units include commercial area, offices and public facilities. The total of waste generation is 29.59 m3/day. The dominant waste composition in TPS Guntur-Dago is organic waste as much as 43.93%, consisting of 33.07% food waste, 10,86% of leaf and garden waste. The waste composition of waste paper and cardboard is 3.56%, 19.08% of plastic, 6.09% of metal and iron, 6.38% of glass, 6.23% of textile, 4.07% of rubber and leather, 4.27% of hazardous waste, 5.93% of others. Based on the evaluation, Guntur-Dago TPS needs more improvement in various sectors. The development of conventional TPS into integrated TPS 3R is done in one stage, development concept and pre-designed to meet the needs of the next 15 years. The concept of development is carried out by adding population service, design scenarios, and also alternative improvements such as additional area, arrangement of collection and transportation system, organic and inorganic waste processing, leachate storage tanks, garden making, special area making such as tipping floor , sorting, residue, container, office and workshop area, toilet, mosque. Pre-designed that contains alternative specifications and recommended improvements design criteria followed by master plan and 3D perspective of TPS 3R Guntur-Dago.
