In addition, the development of blockchain technology is also growing rapidly since it was first popularized in Bitcoin by Satoshi Nakamoto to overcome the problem of double spending. This blockchain technology has a high level of security. Therefore, security issues on this IoT can be solved using blockchain technology <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> There are 4 ways to strengthen security on IoT using blockchain technology, which is to make secure communication between IoT devices, authenticate users, identify legitimate IoT devices, and IoT configurations. This research focuses on one of these ways, namely making secure communication between IoT devices. The research was carried out by making the design and implementation of the IoT system without and using blockchain technology which will then be compared between the two. The communication protocol used in the IoT system without blockchain is MQTT, while the blockchain platform used is Ethereum along with the smart contract. Both of these IoT systems will be analyzed for security levels by means of simulation attacks. The test results show that the blockchain-based IoT system has a higher level of security than the IoT system without blockchain technology. <br /> text |
