There are two interfaces that have significant differences in layout design and hierarchical menu structure of their main menu page. The differences in layout design and hierarchical menu structure may affect the level of efficiency and error. As a public facility, ATM machine needs to have a good usability level along with the increasing of transaction’s volume in ATM. This study aims to compare the level of effectiveness, efficiency, and user’s satisfaction of the older and the latest version ATMs operated by Bank Mandiri as a reference to identify which ATM that has better hierarchical menu structure. The result shows that the latest version ATM has a higher efficiency level than the older version. The combined metric also shows that latest version ATM has a better usability than older version, so it can be concluded that latest version ATM has a better hierarchical menu structure. There are also five proposed improvements for ten problems happened in operating latest version ATM that have been validated by Bank Mandiri and consumers as the users of latest version ATM.<p align="justify"> text
