Summary:In these pasts few years, crowdfunding has grown rapidly as a way to entrepreneurs collect <br /> <br /> money from the crowd through online-based platform. Crowdfunding practice also become <br /> <br /> popular in Indonesia, whether for social project or business project. However, it is still not clear <br /> <br /> what makes a crowdfunding successfully funded. Because of the lack of studies in that field, <br /> <br /> this study conducted to analyzing success characteristics in crowdfunding campaign. This <br /> <br /> study used a qualitative approach to previous study and analyzing 50 successfully funded <br /> <br /> project in Kickstarter. Questionnaire are also being conducted to 115 respondents to find out <br /> <br /> the preference and perception of people in Indonesia about crowdfunding. The result of this <br /> <br /> study shows that 9 factors influencing the success chance of a crowdfunding campaign such as <br /> <br /> project description, goal, communication features, graphical accompaniment, provision of <br /> <br /> video material, rewards, reviewed, and social media owned. Recommendation campaign <br /> <br /> strategy is also given to be implemented in Indonesia in order to get campaign goal achieved
