Summary: | <p align="justify">Volleyball is a sport that usually played by many people. However, only a few comprehensive research about volleyball were found. When playing volleyball, players need ultimate and accurate strategy to win the match. This research will discuss about overhand serve since it is the starting techniques that can be set by player during execution. By using the right serve, player can choose initiation strategy that will affect on the winning at the end of the game greatly. In the previous research by Maryam Mohammadil and Afagh Malek (2012), about solution for overhand serve in volleyball, the inaccuracies and uncertainties on real condition for its formulated mathematics model has not been calculated. In this research, fuzzy data that transformed from crisp data is used to consider the inaccuracies and uncertainties of the data. The factors that affect overhand serve volleyball are starting angle, final angle, force, and length of arm. From these factors, the optimal solution of overhand serve volleyball’s distance will be calculated using multivariate linear regression approach and fuzzy linear program.<p align="justify"> |
