Description
Summary:Injectable contraception is a contraceptive for women given in the form of hormone

injections. Injecting contraception requires a high level of adherence, this is due to

the high rate of FP program failure due to decreased effects and increased potential

for side effects due to non-compliance acceptors. The level of patient compliance with

a therapy is influenced by the level of knowledge of the therapy. The objective of the

study was to know the description of acceptor knowledge about injectable

contraception drug, to give description about the relationship between the

information conveyed with the understanding of the acceptor on the dosage form,

how to use, and the side effects of injecting contraception, to know the knowledge

level of the acceptors of contraceptive injection to the dosage form, beside him. This

study was conducted through the assessment of acceptors' understanding of the

dosage form, how to use and side effects of the patients before and after getting

information from the counselor, the test using questionnaires made based on Guttman

scale, the data obtained then analyzed descriptively and quantitatively using the

Wilcoxon test and Kruskal Wallis test and continued with Mann Whitney U test. The

result of correlation test between duration of use and knowledge level shows no

correlation of both (α> 0,05), while positive correlation is indicated by the level of

knowledge of the stock with knowledge of how to use. Knowledge quality can be

stated that before and after examination have significant difference this is indicated

by value α<0,05 in Wilcoxon test, while result of comparison of quality of knowledge

using Kruskal Wallis test for each puskesmas before and after examination showed

no difference for knowledge quality on the preparations and side effects, but showing

differences in the quality of knowledge on how to use with Mann Whitney U test

results showed that differences in the level of knowledge how to use occurred at

Caringin health center to other health centers after providing information from the

counselor. All acceptor FP in Bandung show with a good level of knowledge for

knowledge of stocks and enough for knowledge of how to use and side effects.
