To meet the standards of the international airport on <br /> <br /> the need and convenience of passengers or visitors, then Terminal BIHS was <br /> <br /> renovated and completed in 2016. The renovation concerning improvement, <br /> <br /> expansion, and the addition of supporting facilities, such as retails, facilities for <br /> <br /> disability, and other facilities. With that improvements, terminal environment <br /> <br /> become more complex that could potentially pose a problem for wayfinding. <br /> <br /> Wayfinding process is a process of problem-solving that is affected by two factors, <br /> <br /> internal and external factors. The external factor is the factor that comes from the <br /> <br /> outside such as environment, space, and available information, while the internal <br /> <br /> factor (people factor) is the factor that comes from within ourselves such as <br /> <br /> perception, cognition ability of orientation, and the decision making. To get <br /> <br /> comprehensive results, this research using mixed methods between quantitative <br /> <br /> and qualitative. Research data obtained through observation of the environment, <br /> <br /> literature, and the questionnaire. Obtained data then are analyzed using the <br /> <br /> method to measuring the quality of wayfinding i.e. visibility index (VI) and the <br /> <br /> level of service (LOS). Beside that, the obtained data also analyzed based on <br /> <br /> statistical values to know the effect of the people factor in wayfinding quality. <br /> <br /> This research focus on public areas and domestic departure in Terminal BIHS as <br /> <br /> objects of research. Respondents used in the study amounted to 80 people. The <br /> <br /> respondents are local citizens of Indonesia (WNI) in domestic departure. The <br /> <br /> results of visibility index measurement on public and domestic departure area in <br /> <br /> Terminal BIHS is 0.345 which according to the level of service is at the level of <br /> <br /> LOS C "enough". In addition, the results of the analysis showed the positive and <br /> <br /> negatife relevance between the quality of wayfinding and wayfinding behavior.
