In quantifying the value of the induced stresses at the production level, authors conceptually modelled block caving using the Phase2 8.0 software. The parameters discussed in this study are the distance of hydraulic radius and the selection of advance and post undercutting methods against the induced stresses at the production level. <br />

The results show that the greater the distance of the hydraulic radius (HR), the greater the maximum induced stresses at the production level which for the post undercutting method, which HR 30 m is 15% higher than HR 15 m and which HR 50 m is 25% higher than HR 30 m, for advance undercutting method which HR 30 m is 7% higher than HR 15 m and which HR 50 m is 35% higher than HR 30 m. Post undercutting application method gives maximum induced stresses value at the production level 49%, 60% and 48% higher than advance undercutting for hydraulic radius of 15, 30 and 50 m. |
