Summary:Water is a basic necessity for all living things, one of them is for humans. Humans use clean water to fulfill and conduct their daily activities. Clean water that is utilized by the whole society should pay attention to the aspect of quality, quantity and continuity so as not to cause a negative impact to human health. Sukamaju Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is one WTP that operates in the service of PDAM Tirta Raharja. Sukamaju has production capacity of 200 L/s with 2 service areas there are Soreang and Banjaran. Because the increasing of water demand, the capacity of Sukamaju WTP will be increased from 200 L/s to 400 L / s. It will certainly affect the filtration unit, disinfection and reservoir. If the flow of debit is increased, the three units can not process all of the raw water. And Sukamaju WTP will be redesigned by adding 4 units of filter with dimensions adapted from the existing condition that is 4.29 x 3 x 5 m, the replacement of the silica sand as filter media due to the particle size is too large and adding 1 unit of reservoir with dimensions of 39.4 x 39.4 x 4 m. The cost of filtration and reservoir redesign is about Rp. 4.500.000.00,00.
