Because the welding of welded metal has the effect of heat, then if two metals are welded with the same welding conditions, there will be differences in metallurgical characteristics and can possibly cause problems, between them, hardening of the HAZ region, intergranular corrosion, galvanic corrosion and others. One way to reduce or correct defects and problems that exist is to do a heat treatment process. For this reason, this study investigated the effect of heat treatment on the characteristics of macro structure, microstructure and hardness of the HAZ region of the specimen with variations in heat input during welding. Observation of macro structures was carried out using DSLR cameras, microstructure observation was carried out through optical microscope and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). To find out the effect on the mechanical properties of the specimens, hardness testing was carried out using the microvickers method. From this study, it can be concluded that the increase in heat treatment temperature can reduce the volume fraction of delta ferrite and chrome carbide formed by welding so that the value of hardness from the HAZ region decreases.<p align="justify"> text
