This area is spread among thousand of island and divided by the seas. Therefore, the construction of liquid bulk for crude palm oil (CPO) terminal in Tambu Bay, Middle Sulawesi is necessity. The port designed is a dolphin type dock. The scope of this final assignment cover environment data processing, port’s structure design criteria, calculation of port’s loads, port’s dimension determination, port’s structure analysis, design of steel frame in element of structure, and bearing capacity analysis. This final assignment of port design refers to Bristish Standard documents. For design of the element structural this final assignment refers to Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI). <br /> <br /> Dolphin type dock in this final assignment consist of four different structure. These are loading platform, berthing dolphin, mooring dolphin, and trestle. These 4 different structures would be analyzed by software modeling SAP2000. This analysis is done to see the reliability of the designed structure towards the structure loads. The output from this software are unity check ratio (UCR), structure deflection, element forces, and joint forces. In this final assignment port designed to be reliable towards structure loads, the value of UCR has to be lower than 1.0 and the structure deflection has to satisfy the selected limit. <br /> <br /> The outcome of this final assignment is port with dolphin type dock that consist of four structure. The design covers from each structure’s dimension, each elements structural's dimension, design of steel frame for elemen structural based on element structural forces, and the depth of pile propotion from seabed to fulfill the need of structure bearing capacity.<p align="justify"> text |
