Description
Summary:Offshore platforms are used to fill the need of oil and gas exploration and exploitation. These platforms can facilitate production, distribution, or storage. In this final project, the structure which will be analyzed is a four-legged jacket platform located in Java Sea. The platform functions as production and storage facility. Structure design is based on API RP-2A standard. This standard has two different versions: WSD and LRFD. The API RP-2A LRFD standard is considered more realistic because of the load factor usage. That load factor is acquired from the randomness of Mexico Bay environmental conditions. Incompatibility of the load factor usage can happen

because of the difference between Mexico Bay and Indonesian seawaters. Therefore, reliability analysis of existing platforms is needed as early study for load factor usage in Indonesia. Structural analysis in this final project includes inplace and seismic analysis. These two analysis are used to find members which has highest UC. After inplace and seismic analysis are completed, one member is to be selected as critical member which reliability is going to be analyzed. Reliability analysis in this final project uses inplace analysis on storm condition as the failure performance. The method which will be used is Monte Carlo simulation. From that simulation, the reliability

index is acquired. The reliability index for this final project is 6,388. Therefore, load factor of API
