Description
Summary:<p align="justify">Actually the road pavement in Indonesia that use bitumen as a binder, can not overcome the damage problem during its lifetime. That is due to the problem of high temperature and heavy traffic. Themodified binder usingthe additive, such as polymer is one solution toimprove the binder quality and the mix performance. <br /> <br /> The mixture used in this research was Porus Asphalt with BNA (Boton Natural Asphalt). The asphalt performancewas measured based on the results of asphalt characteristic testing while the mix performance was meisured by Cantabro Loss test, Asphalt Flow Down, Marshall and Marshall Immersion test, Resilient Modulus (UMATTA) test, and Indirect Tensile Strength test. <br /> <br /> The results of asphalt test shared that BNA 75/25 and BNA 65/35 were limid under the minimum value (38,90C and 470C) at 500C, while asphalt Pen 60/70 was obtained within specification (65,70C). The value of Optimum Asphalt Content (OAC)obtained by the Marshall test ,was 5,5% for asphalt pen 60/70 and BNA75/25 mixture and 5,44% for BNA 65/35. The result of Marshall Immersion test showed that the asphalt mix using BNA 65/35 has a better resistence(97,45%)comperate to mix using BNA 75/25(95,45%) and asphalt Pen 60/70(93,30%). <br /> <br /> The results of Resilient Modulus (UMATTA) were 1787 Mpa(at 250C) and 688 Mpa (at 35<>sup0C) for BNA 65,35 mix, while the reselt of asphalt Pen 60/70 mix was 1413 Mpa(at 250C) and 480 Mpa(at 350C). The result of Indirect Tencile Strength (ITS) test showed that the asphalt Pen 60/70 mix has the higherst values (3,56 N/mm2 and 3,24 N/mm2)at temperature of 250C and 350C, while for BNA 75/25 mix (4,59 N/ N/mm2 and 3,61 N/N/mm2), the Indirect Tencile Strength value (5,77 N/mm2 dan 5,35 N/mm2) for BNA 65/35 mix at the same temperature of 250C and 350C. <br /> <br /> <br /> In general, the result all of the research it is that the best performance of Porus asphalt mixture, used in this research was the BNA 65/35 mix.<p align="justify">
