Kebersihan in every waste service in Bandung City. IRC is designed to reduce the waste generation entering the landfill and increase the recycling potential of inorganic waste. As much as 23% of the waste generation in Bandung is inorganic waste recycling potential. The designed IRC is located in Gedebage Subdistrict, directly opposite Bandung Lautan Api Stadium. Primary data collection is carried out in five polling stations located in the South Bandung service area. Two of the five TPS carried out by collecting data are applied sorting activities. The sample selection of the five TPS are distinguished based on the source of waste entering the TPS. Based on the results of data collection, it is known that 22,68% of total waste generation in Bandung has the potential to be recycled. Source collection system with a single stream system. The garbage that has been collected will be taken to the TPS for initial sorting and cleaning. Garbage that has been done by initial sorting and cleaning will be transported to IRC. IRC capacity can receive waste of 55.44 tons / day. The waste that will be sorted on IRC includes HVS paper, newspapers, cardboard, duplex, metal, tin, aluminum, glass, HDPE, PP, and PET. The sorting process uses the method of manual sorting and automatic sorting. Process configuration that is arranged based on material characteristics. Automatic sorting using magnetic separator units, eddy current separator, and air classifier and manual sorting is used to sort paper and plastic based materials.

text
