However, mangrove planting is difficult to do because young mangrove seeds are vulnerable to wave attacks. Therefore, a temporary protective structure is required. <br /> <br /> Natural beach protection system is one of the alternatives offered to the problem. This system consists of mangrove forests protected by breakwater made from sandbags (geobags) on the front. <br /> <br /> This experimental laboratory study is one of a series of studies of natural coastal protection systems by focusing only on the effectiveness of mangroves in wave energy reduction through transmission coefficients. The effectiveness of energy damping can be determined by factors such as species of mangrove, planting width, and mangrove density. This research was conducted to get the relationship of density and arrangement of mangrove planting to wave transmission.<p align="justify"> <br /> text |
