Some of these minerals have a high economic value such as gold. In gold exploration especially in Indonesia, the use of geophysical method becomes one of the important stages in exploration to be able to describe condition of subsurface layer. The geophysical methods that used in this research are DC resistivity and induced polarization (time domain) method using dipole-dipole electrode configuration and consists of 5 lines of measurement with 100 meter the space of electrode. This research was located at Cepak Kawung Field, Pongkor. The presence of mineralized zones is characterized by high chargeability anomaly (> 400 mV / V) and overlaid with high resistivity anomaly (> 100 Ohm.m). That anomaly indicates high sulphide mineral content and zone of silicification. The areas with high sulfide mineral content are usually associated with gold minerals, such as hydrotermal veins or the alteration zone around the veins. From the result of combining the anomalies obtained on each line and overlaid with information from the geological map, it is concluded that the mineralized zone in CPK field is north-south oriented and fully controlled by the structure (dextral fault) through the research area. text
