Production information which is provided thoroughly and fast will assist production controller in terms of production decision making. Therefore, building a system which provide those information need to be planned thoroughly. In production context, the system is called production monitoring system. <br /> <br /> This research focused on designing and building a digital-based monitoring system to replace the paper-based monitoring system used in a stamping dies manufacturing plant. This system has the ability to record and display real-time conditions on the shop-floor and also create a recapitulation report of monitoring quickly. The software was designed and built in Python languange with user interface of Qt Creator library. Communication scheme of the system is using TCP/IP protocol in a Local Area Network (LAN). Monitoring data stored and could be accessed in a database. The database was designed using Micrososft SQL Server. <br /> <br /> The benefit of applying this system is that it enables an early warning of potential delay, assists production controller to make an accurate production decision, and creates ease of analyzing the performance of production system historically.<p align="justify"> <br /> text
