For example, in the learning system, there is the impression that the learning pattern is more emphasized on teacher-centered approach. Learning systems that are patterned based on a rigid curriculum will force learners to have little opportunity to develop their interests, abilities, and needs, but more are forced to follow educational programs established by teachers in accordance with government policy. Whereas basically students have different characteristics in understanding a learning material. <br /> <br /> <br /> With the development of technology in various realms, technology also developed in the field of education, the creation of e-learning. The e-learning system is expected to support better student-centered approach and allow for more independent and targeted learning. The development of e-learning system that is currently trending is to implement personalized learning. Personalized learning deals with the characteristics of different students. One of them is learning style. Learning styles are the preferred way or habit of a person in processing and transforming knowledge. When an individual knows the learning style and integrates with learning, the individual is expected to learn more effectively. <br /> <br /> <br /> This study discusses the design of personalized learning on e-learning using the Adaptive Learning System (ALS) model. There are three main components in the ALS model: adaptive model, domain model, and learner model. In the learner model there is an application of methods to find out the learning style of learners using Index Learning Style (ILS) which divides learning styles into 4 dimensions. The dimensions studied are the dimensions of perception (sensing-intuitive) and the dimensions of input (visual-verbal). This research is done by designing the material according to the learning style. The design of the material is applied to the object-based programming course chapter adventure game-1. This design is implemented in the e-learning system STMIK IKMI Cirebon aimed at the students of informatics engineering semester 3 which amounted to 64 respondents. <br /> <br /> <br /> At the end of the study conducted a test on the system and student learning outcomes. System testing is done by using blackbox testing test. The test results blackbox testing system successfully executed so that the conclusion of the system can be accepted. Testing student learning outcomes using one way anova different test used to see whether there is an average difference between students who apply personalized learning with those not applying. The result of this test is that there is an average difference between the three classes of research. The successive results of pre-test and post-test of control class (P3), experiment class (P2) and (P1) were 8,809, 24,985, 17,708. The control class is a class that uses e-learning without applying personalized learning, while the experimental class is a class that uses e-learning by applying personalized learning. From the result, it can be concluded that students who apply personalized learning have significantly improved learning outcomes and students with learning style of input-dimension (visual-verbal) have the highest improvement compared with learning style of perception-dimension (sensing-intuitive).<p align="justify"> <br /> text |
