One of the problems that until now has not found the best solution is in the field of environment, especially the problem of garbage. By 2015, statistics show that Indonesia became the second largest waste producer after China. Waste management that has not been maximally coupled with the habits of people who still do not care about environmental problems cause this problem as if no end. In addition, an increase in population density as well as limited land to accommodate the waste is also a factor that causes this problem to persist. <br /> <br /> In this final project, the design of city waste management technology system that has the ability to provide assistance to the community in waste disposal activities properly and correctly. The system also collects the data of waste conditions on each containment container to be processed into information that can be used by the waste management pemangku kepentingans in the city. The system is divided into several service modules, including detection module, garbage statistics module, indicator module, information module, and communication module. After data on garbage statistics is sent, the data will be processed and then displayed on a dasbor that displays more meaningful information. The design of the system offered is microcontroller based. <br /> <br /> The development of this waste management technology system includes the implementation of hardware and software. In hardware implementation, this system uses Arduino UNO and Arduino Mega as its microcontroller. While the sensors used are ultrasonic sensors, inductive sensors, and capacitive sensors. Other components used in the development of this waste management technology system are LED, LCD, and ESP8266-01 as components for data communications. <br /> <br /> Test results show that the system can be operated well and meet the needs that have been defined as part of urban waste management solutions. System hardware and software can communicate well and communication results can be interpreted on the antarmuka pengguna that has been created. Testing to experts shows that the proposed system is good and expected in the next development can be further enhanced ability and also keep in mind the cost of production and ease of installation. <p align="justify"> text |
