The purpose of this study was to evaluate the structural performance of flexible pavement on padalarang-Cisomang highway using AASHTO 1993 Method and ELMOD 6 Program.

In the AASHTO-93 method, the deflection “d1 and d6” from FWD (Falling Weight Deflectometer) measurement were used to calculate the value of Mr (Subgrade Resilient Modulus) and Ep (Effective Modulus of Pavement) and also SNeff (Effective Structural Number) and SNf (Structural Number in the Future). The difference value of SNf and

SNeff will determine whether the existing pavement required an overlay or not. The result of ELMOD 6 computer program gives the overlay thickness between 8 cm to 13 cm. This is consistent with the realization in field, that is 4 cm of AC-WC and 6 cm of AC-BC.

The comparison between the analysis using the AASHTO-1993 and the ELMOD-6 gives different results of overlay thickness, that 2 cm to 5 cm.
