This study developed the application and website to calculate and design heat exchanger for the application of space heating design. This calculation is made in the form of applications on Android, Windows and Website. Android application was created using Android Studio. Windows application was created using Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Access for its database system. The existing database on Windows applications is include thermal conductivity of materials, brine properties and air properties. Website was created using the Content Management System (CMS) Joomla. <br /> <br /> Before the application and website perform calculations, the input information is required. The input data comprises the properties of brine (mass flow rate, pressure and temperature), dimensions of the room (length, width, and height), ducting design data (insulating material, insulator thickness and ducting length), and heat exchanger design data (diameter of brine pipe) and air pipe diameter). The type of heat exchanger used is the flow counter of the double pipe heat exchanger. This application and website calculates heat loss from the walls, roof and floor of the room, energy requirements for heating room temperature, ducting design, and heat exchanger design (thermal contact area and heat exchanger length). The result of the application calculation was validated with the result of manual calculation using Wayang Windu case study. <br /> <br /> The use of these applications and websites in addition to heating systems has also been applied succesfully to the design of greenhouse heating, room warmers and drying of agricultural products. Applications and websites for the design of this room heating is expected to be useful for people living in geothermal energy source areas.<p align="justify"> text |
