Summary: | Islamic Boarding Schools are becoming one of the leading Islamic-based education in Indonesia. Along with the growth of it, the need of modern way of teaching is demanded by the parents. This way, the amount of Islamic studies taught is equivalent to the national curriculum by Diknas Pendidikan Indonesia. However, most of the modern Islamic Boarding Schools in Indonesia is unable to accommodate student’s activity through its facilities, therefore causing overcapacity in terms of the facilities given and the amount of students. Failure of meeting student’s basic needs prevents students from feeling homey. This problem occurs in Al-Aqsha Islamic Boarding School, and by limited space management through Interior Design, this problem could be minimized – this sets the goal for students to feel comfortable despite the limited space. |
