However, the problem that is frequ ently faced is the diffi culity and comple xty of the exact solotion for solving the di fferential equation in this thesis , the witer tries tu use numerical method for solving the differ ential equation of the spherical shells due to the concentrated load and moment. The m e thod use se is the finite difference method and result is compared with the solut result of the method developed by P. P Bijllard methods (1957). It is found that the result of the exact method is not far different from that of the finite difference method. Finally , a good comprehension and mastery of the numerical methods will help us in coping the difficulity of the solution of stress analysis on the shell structure concerning with the solution of the differential equation. text |
