Filtration process Cikacembang River as a preliminary process for biological treatment to reduce the concentration load of pollutant contained in the polluted river. To evaluate the removal efficiency filtration process according to the parameters of water quality, two reactors media filter with silica sand and activated carbon media installed in Cikacembang River. Water quality before and after filtration through the reactor analyzed to obtain efficiency of each filter. Based on the results of pilot-scale filtration, activated carbon media filter has high efficiency to remove TDS, ammonium, nitrite, and nitrate. While the silica sand media filter has high efficiency to remove, nitrate, total phosphate and COD. To improve the removal efficiency of pollutants in water, the filter dimensions could be expanded to increase the active surface area and increase adsorption contact time.<p align = "justify"> text
