The main difference between this method and EOR Surfactant Flooding is the injection’s location, in EOR Surfactant the fluid is injected to injection wells but in Huff ‘n’ Puff stimulation the fluid is injected directly to the production well. The advantage of using this method over the EOR Surfactant Flooding is to reduce the cost because drilling the injection wells is not necessary. <br /> <br /> Surfactant increase the oil recovery by reducing interfacial tension and changing the rock wettability. In addition, surfactant injection Huff ‘n’ Puff could also improve skin factor as the result of scaling or plugging therefore increasing the permeability near the wellbore. The process of Huff ‘n’ Puff consists of three main stages, the first stage is the surfactant injection to production well, second stage is shut in the production well to wait surfactant soaks,and the third stage is re-open the production well and produce it.
