Drug information is one form of pharmaceutical services available in puskesmas conducting by a pharmacist. The aim of this research was to determine the quality of drug information, types of drug information needed, medication adherence, and the effectiveness of hypertensive therapy in non-Prolanis and Prolanis patients in UPT Puskesmas Sukarasa Bandung. This research is a descriptive study with a concurrent, cross-sectional design, and was conducted between January and March 2018. A validated questionnaire was used as the research tool. The sample selection was based on a purposive sampling technique, using which 126 non-Prolanis and 21 Prolanis patients were selected. The SERVQUAL method was used to analyze the quality of drug information service while the Modified Morisky Scale (MMS) was used to analyze compliance. Effectivity of therapy is determined by using blood pressure goals on JNC VII. The results show that the patients’ satisfactory value towards drug information service is 89% and 87% for non-Prolanis and Prolanis patients, respectively, and they’re not significantly different. Furthermore, patients’ needs regarding the types of drug information has been fulfilled at a level of 85% for non-Prolanis patients and 87% for Prolanis patients, and they’re not significantly different. Adherence is generally high, with values of 57.14% and 76.19% for non-Prolanis and Prolanis patients, respectively, and they’re not significantly different. Also, the effectiveness of hypertension therapy for non-Prolanis patients is 20.63%, while for Prolanis patients it is 66.67%, and they’re significantly different. <br /> text
