Summary: | Pakcoy (Brassica chinensis L.) is a plant that easily cultivated, but it’s productivity

has been decrease every year. One way to increase the productivity of pakcoy is

through improvements in fertilization. The provision of vermicompost and the

cultivation process with drip irrigation systems are expected to increase the growth

and productivity of pakcoy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of

adding vermicompost and water delivery intervals on the growth and productivity of

pakcoy plants. This research was conducted at Screen House ITB Jatinangor by using

split-plot Randomized Block Design (RBD). The combination of growing media

consists of 5 treatments, namely by comparison of soil and vermicompost 1: 0 (M0),

3: 1 (M1), 1: 1 (M2), 1: 3 (M3), and 0: 1 (M4). Watering interval consists of 3

treatments, namely once a day (V1), two days (V2), and once every three days (V3).

Each treatment was repeated three times. The results showed the effect of significant

differences in M2V1 treatment combination with other treatments, M2V1 treatment

gave the highest yield at the leaf length increase rate of 0.18 cm / day, leaf width of

0.12 cm / day, wet weight of 90.60 g dry weight was 19.60 gr, while the highest

number growth rate of leaf was produced from the combination of M3V1 treatment,

which was 0.31 leaves per day. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded

that adding vermicompost and water delivery intervals influence the growth and

productivity of pakcoy plants. |
