Description
Summary:Abstract

Digitalization spread in most community activities including the transportation activities. This is reflected in the rising phenomenon of online transportation or transportation based applications like Gojek, Grab, and Uber. The presence of online transport is assumed to contribute for declining in the number of unemployment in Indonesia, but on the other hand had an impact on decreasing revenues of conventional transport businesses. This problem could trigger controversy between the two. This discussion about online transportation will be focused on the transport 2 (two) wheels vehicle or known as ojek online. Digitalization cause a difference in the ojek online market transactions. Study of science and technology through actor-network theory, became one of the approaches used in this research to understand the ojek online market. Specifically, the Callonian approach, market was understood by tracing human and non-human framing phenomenon that occured in the ojek online market. Framing is used as an effort to form a calculative space for market participants. By tracing the framing, the qualification of the market as calculative space will be easier to be assessed. Assessment results are used to provide recommendations for improvement of regulatory aspects. The results obtained through this research is that market of ojek online is considered irrational or non-qualculable, and economic theory named it as an imperfect market. In addition, there is still overflows in this business, which indicates that the ojek online business is not going well.

Keywords: market, ojek online, actor network theory
