Summary: |
Indonesia is a diverse country in cultures. Traditional house is one of particular cultural marks every region in Indonesia has. Nowdays many modern house designs have been adapting Indonesian traditional house elements. BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology could be used to design modern houses with traditional approachment digitally. Analyzing traditional element in a traditional house will require a statistic or numerical method to identify the origin of traditional houses region based on the shape especially its roof. Geometric morphometric method is one of statistical tools for identifying the differences between species morphological in biology science disciplines. This method is applied on Toba, Bali, and Cirebon aerial photographs which are converted to 2D and 3D digital model before the data processing begin. The final result of this undergraduate thesis is a geometric morphometric methods usage analysis to identify the difference and similarity of Toba, Bali, and Cirebon roof shape.
|
