One of the advantages of

Indonesia is the combination of Islam with local culture that has lasted so long that

it generates tourism attraction. One of the provinces that has a halal tourism

development program in Indonesia is West Sumatra. Minangkabau is a culture of

the people of West Sumatra, is basically a culture based on Islam. Indirectly, the

business of fulfilling the requirements to become a halal tourist destination can be

more easily achieved. This image needs to be sharpened and promoted further so

that people can know more about this Minangkabau culture. On the other hand, it

is necessary to strengthen Minangkabau identity itself where local people can learn

more about Minangkabau as well as outsiders can recognize it further. After

observing and studying the literature, the authors found that the need for a facility

that has the functioning of the center between culture, Islamic center, and museum

to support those needs. The intersection of the function of each of these facilities

will produce institutions that have the function of education, culture, spiritual, and

can become a tourist destination. The authors hope this analysis really be a solution

to the problem of development needs of the tour in West Sumatra. text
