Description
Summary:
Scanline is a commonly used method in observing and measuring fracture. Despite, field operator safety may be troubled in which extreme area and/or position are being sampled. To overcome this problem, Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS) might be a prospective method as the device acquires millions of point cloud which represent the surface without direct measurement and acquired data may also augment fracture data acquisition. This recent research is aimed to identify a fracture on Citatah Cliff 125 (Kabupaten Bandung Barat, West Java Province) using TLS which later be compared and validated by Scanline data. This research starts from fracture data acquisition using scanline method and TLS, afterwards this results will be analysed by rose diagram. Resulting Citatah Cliff 125 observation data by TLS showed reasonable similarity towards Scanline data at North East-South West (NE-SW) with dip of 30-90 degrees. Therefore, TLS shall be a potential method in terms of fracture data acquisition.
