Description
Summary:
This research was conducted to know the spread of SO2 from heater 110 H-1A chimney along with the distribution of meteorology parameter. The dispersion of SO2 is simulated with CALPUFF model which is a non steady puff distribution model that simulates spatial distribution pettern by considering meteorological conditions such as wind, atmospheric stability and precipitation as well as complex land effects. Relationship of SO2 to meteorological parameters is done by looking at the comparison from the simulation of the distribution to influential meteorological conditions.

The simulation results of SO2 deployment on 24 Januri 2015 and 14 July 2015 spread towards the dominant winds that follow west wind monsoon direction and follow the direction of the eastern monsoon. On January 24, 2015 the highest SO2 spread in one hour was 171 ug/m3 and one day at 21 ug/m3, whereas on July 14, 2015 the highest SO2 spread in one hour was 151 ug/m3 and one day at 17 ug/m3. The rate of SO2 concentration decline occurs at higher wind speeds, which is indicated by the correlation value between SO2 concentration and wind speed on January 24, 2015 of -0.3 and 14 July 2015 of -0.54. Comparison of distance distribution of SO2 is further on the stable atmospheric conditions than on the unstable atmospheric conditions.
