Summary:<p align="justify">Contraflow is one of the traffic lane management to achieve the certain goals by involving the regulation and law enforcement, road signing and traffic distribution. This study was a review of the level of service The Jakarta Intra Urban Toll Road Segment Cawang -Tomang–Cengkareng (CTC) in terms of aspect of traffic and safety consideration on the implementation of the contraflow to road segment with the degree of saturation value (V/C) were greater than 0.75. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Current observations were carried out with the video recorder to acquire traffic flow per lane. Travel time in addition to observational data were collected by both <br /> <br /> car following method and plate matching method from the cameras recorder according to travel time segment observation. The speed data were collected with speed gun at KM 1+800. The observation time period in this research was from 06.00 am to 01.00 pm. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> At the time of enactment hour of contraflow, the traffic discipline on line A (Cawang - Semanggi) was quite good. It’s shows with the highest number of traffic flow on lane 1 and lane 2 at the low traffic compared with lane 3. After the implementation of contraflow ended, the lane discipline on line A and B did not show the same condition with the contra flow period of time while underway. It’s shows with the proportion of current flow lane 2 has a higher value than the other lanes both at low and high flows. There are differences in the speed of the vehicle significantly between vehicles on a path when the contra flow is underway 79,68 km/h compared with speed when the contraflow lane closed is 28, 87 km/h. The travel time of vehicles through the normal line are not significantly different with the vehicle through the contra flow lane, but vehicles in the normal lane will save travel time of 13.86 minutes when the contra flow is underway. The evaluation of the road safety aspects indicates that the use of some road safety devices need to be reconsidere based on the technical standard in order to generate safer toll roads in example guardrail installation and roadside hazards treatment.<p align="justify">
