This study aims to check the quality of this 2017 edition of the NKRI Map, where the quality checks carried out are divided into 3 parts, namely checking errors in map writing, checking through cartographic aspects, and analysis of changes in territorial boundaries contained in this map.

Writing error checks are carried out by comparing information on this map with other related documents, while checking the cartographic rules and analysis of changes in existing boundaries is carried out with discussion in accordance with the literature used.

The results of this study indicate that there are still some writing errors in this map. In addition, the selection of information submitted on this map still needs further sorting. Another thing to note is that there are still a number of border lines in the country that have not been agreed upon so far, but on the NKRI Map of 2017 there are unilateral claims from the Indonesian Government that provide benefits to the Indonesian side.
|
