The objective of this study is to develop decision behavior model to cross the street at the mid block area. Some variables that considered in the model development were crossing gap, type of gap (gap between car and car, car and motorcycle, and so on), crossing situation such as crossing alone or crossing in group, and pedestrian characteristic as well. Binary logit model was employed to develop the model with two choice of crossing, i.e. crossing or hold the crossing. Related to gender, from the model result, it was revealed that women prefer to have longer gap than men. It was also shown that type of gap has a role in habitual crossing. In further studies, it is interesting to evaluate role of number of lanes to cross, role of the land use intensity at the both sides of the street, and role of rolling gap.<p align= "justify"> text
