Description
Summary:
Production process scheduling should be done as best as possible so that the resources in the factory can be used optimally. However, planned schedule may be disrupted by obstacles during the production process. Production controllers should be able to make decisions quickly if obstacles occur. To make the right decision, production controllers should be fully informed of the real-time conditions in shop-floor. Information from the production controller to the shop-floor should aslo be delivered quickly so that the production process runs well. The speed of information flow is influenced by the information system used. In a stamping dies manufacturing factory, shop-floor monitoring cannot be done in real-time. Submission of information on the production process schedule and monitoring shop-floor conditions still uses paper. Under these conditions, the information flow between the production controller and the shop-floor will be hampered because it requires manual data processing to get the information needed. In this research, a monitoring system was developed to display real-time schedule of production process and shop-floor conditions.

The system that has been created was then tested with case studies that represent the shop-floor condition of factory. From the test results that have been done, system can already run according to its function and ready to be implemented .
