Therefore, a fatigue analysis is carried out to determine the fatigue life of the components. <br /> <br /> Fatigue analysis is performed by using dynamic loads which is obtained from multibody dynamics simulation. The loads are used to formulate a load history based on Metro Capsule’s planned route. Fatigue analysis is then performed by using stress-life methods to determine guide wheel frame’s fatigue life. Because of its complex geometry, analysis is carried out with the help of finite element methods with solid element models. <br /> <br /> The fatigue simulation with load history that has been formulated, and material properties that have been defined gives guide wheel frame’s fatigue life 5,96x106 load history repetition, or equivalent to 1,73x109 cycles. If it is converted into years, the life of the Metro Capsule’s guide wheel frame is 808 years. text |
